This is one of those tracks your hear and you think, “where did that come from?”. This inventive little gem could charm the birds from the trees. Within those layers of vocals you are transported to a better place – sometimes the lead vocal is a half-spoken whisper, at others a Liz Cocteau-esque heart-breaking cry from the wilderness. The simple guitar line leads you into a joyous landscape of tribal drums and ensemble backing vocals.
If this is anything to go by Los Angeles based WILD and their stunning brand of inventive Indie-pop could be your highlight of 2020.
