Sarpa Salpa – Say Something

Northampton’s Sarpa Salpa are no strangers to Birmingham. They played an impressive headlinine show for IndieMidlands in 2019. Their distinctive brand of edgy synth-tinged indie-pop got toes tapping and much in the way of cheers of approval.

The band have kept the momentum going with a string of support slots, and appearing in over 30 UK festivals. Sarpa Salpa have been no slouches in the studio either banging out some top tunes along the way. And they start 2020 with a flourish with the release of latest single, ‘Say Something’.

Sparkly synths, growly guitars and a dramatic vocal that fluctuates between an Alex Turner-like moody baritone and an impassioned Matt Healy-esque cry from the heart. The 80’s inflections are artfully done and the overall tune-smithery gets you grooving. Good stuff.
