Midge has returned with new single ‘Sad Girl’.
‘Sad Girl’ is, unsurprisingly given the title, a sad song. The first 90 seconds of the track are just Midge and an acoustic guitar before a full band comes in to flesh the music out and help the song to reach it’s true beauty.
Despite being full of melancholia ‘Sad Girl’ really is a gorgeous and tender song. Both the music and Midge’s vocal are on point in relaying the sadness. This isn’t a song that is going to cheer you up, but it is a song that’s going to make you feel.
