Feed The Biirds is the meeting of similar minds. Singer Camila Recchio and producer and multi-instrumentalist Kush Mody began this musical project as a means of being less introverted, to find their voices and, ultimately, to be unapologetically themselves.
‘Loud’ is, as you might hope, loud. It’s also proud and thoroughly in-yer-face. In fact it’s as far away from two shrinking violets as you can get. Musically it bears a strong resemblance to Goldfrapp’s glam-stomping mid period. Huge electro beats and fat synths combine in a strutting snarling lip-curl of don’t-give-a-toss attitude. Recchio’s vocal is a bluesy cool of intellect and casual abandon. A dazzling combination from a band of big potential.
