New York based Laveda have released new single ‘Ghost’ which is taken from the duo’s forthcoming debut album ‘What Happens After’ which is out on April 24th.
‘Ghost’ is a lush shoegaze track that transports you back to the early 90’s at times. The guitars sound sublime and the male/female vocals of Jake Brooks & Ali Genevich mesh well. The track starts out very lo-fi, not giving a glimpse of the treat you are in for until it explodes some 30+ seconds in.
As someone who was in his late teens/early twenty’s during the original shoegaze days it’s always nice to hear a band recreate the sound and Laveda have done a great job with ‘Ghost’.
