‘Dear Daylight’ is a single by Chicago band Koalra and is taken from their new EP ‘Surprise Lights’. The track is a mix of 90’s rock and shoegzae-esque vocals which combines together to make a great song.
The pounding beat and guitars drive the music forward with the vocals feeling slightly low in the mix. You could be forgiven for thinking the vocals are a bit of an afterthought due to the fact they sit behind the music and because it’s hard to make out the lyrics, but again it works perfectly and the track is really addictive.
I really like this and will be giving the whole EP a listen.
