‘Lolita’ is the second single from Blushing Boy, the moniker of Dublin’s Ella Naseeb. It’s a steadily paced, sultry indie rock track with a very prominent bass line that borders on being funky.
At times the track feels as though it could head off in to ‘spaghetti western’ territory with the guitars but never quite ventures there. Whilst the musicianship is top notch on the track it’s Naseeb’s voice that is the real highlight. Her moody vocal is both impassioned and confident.
