‘High Heel Heavy’ by Mister Strange is now on the playlist I use when I storm out the house to go on an angry walk. It demands the type of thumping volume you can only get from an overly large PA system. It’s a high energy rock track that wouldn’t have sounded out of place in the 70s punk era, and has more of a whiff of the Sex Pistols about it, but it’s done well.
I would analyse the lyrics but the singer’s enunciation makes it a bit difficult and it’s not really the sort of song you go to for deep insightful analysis of the human condition. Rather, this is an expert lesson in how to angrily thrash a guitar properly so just enjoy the ride.
