Brighton-based artist Fable, the moniker of Holly Cosgrove, has released new single ‘Fall Away’. It’s the third single to be released from her upcoming debut album.
‘Fall Away’ is a track full of atmosphere. From the piano, to the strings, to Fable’s gorgeous voice. It’s a song that builds and soars as it grows. There’s a mid/late 90’s trip-hop vibe to the music too that reminds of acts lke Moby and Tricky. It’s very cinematic and you could easily picture an orchestra in a pit playing along whilst Fable appears above them on a big screen.
Talking about the song Fable had the following to say:
“I think it’s always been important for me to live in the present, and to make peace with the idea of my own death. I drew inspiration from the meaning behind The Beatles’ ‘Let It Be’. The track has a cinematic feel, and I wanted the production to be a very physical experience. The track was written in an afternoon, and the vocal is a one take raw improvisation”
