20 For 20 is a new feature where I look back at 20 of my favourite things that has happened in the music world in 2020.
As Covid-19 plunged the UK into months of lockdown the only way of accessing live music was via online streams. A format that quickly became very popular. Suddenly instead of a stage we were watching artists peform from a room inside their own homes.
Indie Midlands jumped on the bandwaggon of live streams and for a number of weeks put on live online events to raise funds for the NHS. In total thanks to everyone’s generous dontaions we were able to raise £475.
So a big thank you to all the artists who perfomed for us and for everyone who watched and/or donated. It was massively appreciated.
