Borito – Child

Borito

Israeli band Borito are back, following on from the international successes of singles ‘My Kind of Love’ and ‘Nice & Slowly’ comes their third single ‘Child’. Taken from their upcoming album ‘What We Have Now’.

In truth, if you liked the sound of the previous releases from Borito then you’ll surely be a fan of ‘Child’ too. Those familiar hazy summer vibes come to the fore again. Put together with plenty of tapping drums and twanging guitars you’ll be instantly transported to a grassy field in mid-June.

However, this track should come with a warning. As Yael Copeland’s vocal shimmers over the top of the track it delivers a catchy hook which you’ll definitely find yourself mindlessly humming for the rest of the day.

As with the previous singles that will soon adorn the new album, ‘Child’ is a note on the band’s refusal to conform to the norms of ‘growing up’. Now, with tracks like ‘Child’ the band say they are: “Owning their ‘childishness’, still seeking their individual path and enjoying the comfort of not being fully immersed in the ‘grown up’ world.”

We have to say those ideals certainly come through on this latest release. Yet another whimsical toe-tapper from this international band who are enjoying world-wide success. These three singles have given us a decent idea of what to expect from the forthcoming album and we can’t wait to hear it.
