Beck Pete returns with her first release of 2022 with the vibrant new single ‘Softie’. A triumphant indie rock track that is both catchy and anthemic.
“This song is about internalizing your own worth, and in this instance, taking a step back and letting others realize it too. I whisper sang this song over and over to myself in my room with wet cheeks and tired eyes until I finally was able to truly know mine, and if someone else is able to do the same, I’ve done my job” says Pete.
‘Softie’ is a song you could very easily imagine an artist like Sharon Van Etten or Angel Olsen writing. It has that classic US indie pop/rock vibe and is very radio friendly. I’m sure this song will be a big hit for Pete and hopefully a track that can get her talked about in the same realms as the aformentioned Van Etten & Olsen.
‘Softie’ is one of the first great single releases of 2022.
