Sateen; NYC’s premiere high-femme, high glamour queer music duo & Girli; London’s fearlessly honest DIY pop princess, have teamed up for a one-off co-headline tour to unite audiences and transform cultural perceptions of pop and queer identity.
Sateen began their musical career in Brooklyn in the early 2010s. The out-of-this-world duo and married couple consists of instrumentalist-producer and proud transgender woman, Ruby, and vocalist Queenie. The band represents a new wave of pop girl groups that are more radically and openly queer.
Girli, at just 23-years-old, is the multi-faceted artist who has spent the last 5 years developing her unique and outspoken approach to pop music. Bursting onto the London music scene she has developed a dedicated fan base who identify with her wry observational lyrics and fearless honesty about her own life and struggles as an LGBTQ+ female in the social media age.
