Indie Midlands has recently extended it’s management roster with two new additions in Sea Holly & Leo. Nikki de Ruijter is also now an official Indie Midlands artist management and promotions team member.
Sea Holly is the new project by Coventry-based Aphra Smith, singer and lyricist of our own The Sunset Beach Hut. Aphra’s band will also contain another Indie Midlands artist, Graywave, on guitar.
You can get your first taste of Sea Holly music when Aphra plays a solo set for our BSWAID livestream fundraiser at 8pm on Saturday March 6th.
Melbourne-based Leo first came to our attention when they played a livestream for Isol-Aid festival back in May 2020. They have since played two livestreams for Indie Midlands and will be headling the Saturday of our BSWA Livestream at 10pm, so be sure to tune in for that.
Please note Leo uses the ‘they/them’ pronouns.
Like Leo, Birmingham-based Nikki is also Australian. As well as contributing to our Daily Down Under feature Nikki helped out with last years BSWAID gig and has also worked on artwork for us in the past. Having Nikki fully on board will allow Indie Midlands to continue to grow it’s roster in the manner that we want to. So keep your eye out for possibly even more announcements…
